I. ABOUT METAL GEAR SOLID SNAKE EATER
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (commonly abbreviated to MGS3) is a stealth action video game directed by Hideo Kojima. Snake Eater was developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Japan and published by Konami for the PlayStation 2. The game, which serves as a prequel to the entire Metal Gear series, was followed by a direct sequel titled Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.
Set in Cold War-era Russia, the story centers on FOX operative Naked Snake as he attempts to rescue a weapons designer and sabotage an experimental superweapon. While previous games were set in a primarily urban environment, Snake Eater adopts a 1960s Soviet jungle setting, with the high tech, near-future trappings of previous Metal Gear Solid games being replaced with the wilderness. While the setting has changed, the game’s focus remains stealth and infiltration, while retaining the series’ self-referential, fourth wall-breaking sense of humor. Snake Eater’s story is told through numerous cut scenes and radio conversations. (Taken from Wikipedia)
MY OPINION
Ø (^ . ^) Note:
May be this could be “old as the hills” review about the game.
I`m huge fan of Metal Gear Solid series, and without a doubt Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is one of the best stealth game ever made for Playstation 2 console.
The Good:
- You play as Snake for the whole game
The previous Metal Gear Solid game, Sons of Liberty, was a great game but had fatal flaw. The legendary espionage agents Solid Snake disappeared halfway through the game. (O_O)
- Interesting new systems
Use of camouflage to remain well hidden and there are other new systems as well and these are the Cure system and the eating. Snake will sometimes suffer deep cuts, fractures, burns, or other major injuries, indicated by part of his health meter turning red. This new “ability” help Snake to treat his serious major injuries. The other new system is to recover stamina. You have to eating anything that’s even remotely nutritional to recover stamina. Food is the bare necessity of life even in a game(^_^)
- Interesting storyline
I only played the MGS series on PS and PS2, and this MGS3 is the best of these three, I am talking about story right now, it is awesome, touching and exciting, compare with the last two episodes. From now on I`ll save some money to buy the sequel Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3).
- Outstanding graphics and sound
The musical score perfectly captures the tension and intensity that the game’s action sequences attempt to convey. Meanwhile, the voice acting in Metal Gear Solid 3 is good, and of similar quality to that of its predecessors. Es ist sehr beeindruckend b(^_^)d
- An innovative gameplay
Metal Gear Solid 3 takes the traditional style gameplay from MGS and MGS2 with new addition CQC (Close Quater Combat) system, and redefines it using a new setting the jungle. There’s lots of stuff you can do in this game, such as catch poisonous snakes and fling them at your enemies, shoot beehives out of trees and cause them to drop on hapless victims below and even fake your own death. It makes players kept going back again to “hunt” lots of hint of this game including acquire Stealth camouflage or hunt legendary UMA Tsuchinoko (Bachi-hebi). Another appearance of this cryptid animal in game besides Siren.
The Bad:
Of all the things that are going so amazingly well with the rest of the game there is still an issue with the camera system. The camera system is horrible and frustrating. You’re given very limited control over the game’s camera, so you often feel like you’re running blind in the game’s environments, which tend to contain enemies who can see or hear you even when they’re offscreen.
Last of all, this is game is a work of art, and needs to be experienced. Something you look back on and think to yourself “I was lucky to be a part of that experience.”
II. TABLATURE
Snake Eater’s musical score was composed by Norihiko Hibino and Harry Gregson-Williams, who provided material for both cut scenes and the game itself. Hibino wrote the game’s opening theme, “Snake Eater”, a distinctly Bond-like vocal track which also appears in the game proper, as performed by Cynthia Harrell. This song won the “Best Original Vocal Song – Pop” from the Game Audio Network Guild at the Game Developers Conference in August 2005.
[Diatonic] You can bending note on hole 3 by a whole tone (two semitones); from B down to A? That should be “crack the case” to play the diatonic tablature.
[Chromatic] Chromatic harp would be easier, it only use slide button on hole 6. Draw (inhale) on hole 6 and push your slide button to get F#.

Original Lyric
What a thrill…
With darkness and silence through the night
What a thrill…
I’m searching and I’ll melt into you
What a fear in my heart
But you’re so supreme!
I give my life
Not for honor, but for you
[Snake Eater]
In my time there’ll be no one else
Crime, it’s the way I fly to you
[Snake Eater]
I’m still in a dream, Snake Eater!
Someday you go through the rain
Someday you feed on a tree frog
This ordeal, the trial to survive
For the day we see new light!
I give my life
Not for honor, but for you
[Snake Eater]
In my time there’ll be no one else
Crime, it’s the way I fly to you
[Snake Eater]
I’m still made a dream, Snake Eater!
I`m still made a dream, Snake Eater!
